Tewksbury Commission Approves 14-Unit Mixed-Use Project on Main Street
TEWKSBURY — May 13, 2026 — Tewksbury Conservation Commission approved a 14-unit mixed-use development and cleared six other permit items at its May 13 meeting. The commission voted unanimously to approve the notice of intent and land disturbance for AJM Construction's project at 1325 Main Street, which includes two seven-unit multifamily buildings and one commercial building; engineers Mira Cousins and Jim Hanley of Civil Design Consultants reported the project had received a clean peer review letter and Planning Board approval the day before. The meeting's longest discussion involved a proposed 21,000-square-foot industrial building at 600 Woburn Street, where engineer Gene Sullivan, representing Pepti Corporation owner Alex DiMaggio, said DEP had flagged a technical comment requiring the project's infiltration basin to sit 50 feet from an adjacent wetland rather than the 25 feet shown on current plans — a change Sullivan said could force an expensive redesign; the hearing was continued to June 24 to allow direct DEP consultation. The commission also unanimously approved a $30,000 retaining-wall modification for Taylor Goudreau at 100 Breckenridge Road, a certificate of compliance for Kazanjian Enterprises at 2512 Main Street, and negative determinations of applicability for deck replacements at 8 Maplewood Road and 287 South Street.
